Although Rob was already in his senior years when we first met, we remember him as a gentle, kind, warm, generous, erudite gentleman and caring husband. One was immediately struck by his keen interest in life and in other people, and the deep respect and love his entire family had for him.

We did not spend much time together but we recall in particular a couple of fish and chip lunches at the pub and – of course – the indelible memories of him swimming in Sicily during Chris & Emily’s wedding week.
